On paper it looks like a boring show tonight! No big Hollywood Glamour like in past years except for a small smattering of exceptions…(Brad and Angelina)
Hugh Jackman, though a fine actor, I don’t quite see as a modern day Billy Crystal so i’m not looking to get a lot of laughs.
Apparently Slumdog Millionaire is going to win Best Picture according to everyone on The Planet. (I haven’t brought myself to see it yet)
My sentimental choice for Best Actor would be Mickey Rourke but I hear Jeff Spicoli and Whoopi’s old boyfriend stand a good chance! 
I know Rourke ruined his career early on by being a class One A-Hole, but maybe he’s seen the evil of his ways and he will by far give a more entertaining acceptance speech than Mr Langella or Mr. Penn. Philip Seymour Hoffman is The Long shot.
Best Actress doesn’t get me excited much….It seems Kate Winslet will probably win as she has at every ceremony so far this year. Maybe former kookie gal and now The new Mother Theresa, Angelina Jolie will surprise me with a upset?
All in all, i’m not looking for an exciting evening…my wife insists on watching the early arrivals and all the BS that happens leading up to the show.
Myself, i’ll be watching what’s going on in Fontana! Go Tony Stewart!
